Arlington Traffic May Be Gridlock This Weekend

(WBAP/KLIF) — Traffic around the City of Arlington may be a bit congested this weekend, as Arlington Police say three major events converge upon the city over a four day period.

Swifties, Rangers fans, and the Renegade faithful will flood the streets of Arlington over the next four days as Arlington Police spokesman Tim Ciesco says three major events occur at AT&T Stadium, Globe Life Field, and Choctaw Stadium. The Taylor Swift concert runs Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, the Texas Rangers play on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, while the Arlington Renegades XFL game is Friday.

Ciesco suggests giving yourself up to an hour of extra travel time, as well as planning your route ahead of time and pre-selecting your parking facility. Sunday is expected to be the worst day for traffic, as the Swift concert and Rangers’ game occur at virtually the same time.
