Mission (WBAP/KLIF) – Operation Lone Star along the Mexican border has made its largest drug bust so far. A DPS trooper making a traffic stop in the border town of Mission found 14 pounds of potentially lethal fentanyl hidden in a black, Cadillac SUV. The highly dangerous drug was contained in five tape-wrapped bundles. Drug experts say it was enough fentanyl to kill more than 3 million people. That would be the equivalent of every man, woman and child in Austin, Dallas, and El Paso combined. The driver of the black Cadillac, a 39 year old Mexican national, was arrested, and is now in the Hidalgo County Jail.
