GARLAND (WBAP/KLIF) – Garland Police said Friday that three men are behind bars for their alleged connection to a gas theft ring.
According to GPD, the suspects are accused of stealing more than 18,000 gallons of fuel from the ‘Ricky Rockets’ gas station on Jupiter Road.
Investigators followed a suspect vehicle to Franklin and Bowie counties where the suspects were found with 1,500 gallons of gas and taken into custody.
To steal the gas, police said the suspects were using a complicated system that included a box truck with an internal storage system.
