Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – Dallas Fire Rescue is on the scene two-alarm blaze at an apartment complex in Northeast Dallas. Flames can be seen shooting from the roof of a structure at the Forestwood on the Creek Apartments.
The fire broke out around 5am. DFR Spokesman Jason Evans says that no injuries have been reported at this time.
“At 5:08 a.m., Dallas Fire-Rescue units were assigned to a 911 call for a structure fire at the Forestwood on the Creek Apartments, located at 9601 Forest Lane, in Northeast Dallas. Initial reports indicate fire coming through the roof of the apartment complex. First arriving units moved into to attack the fire, but quickly requested a second alarm response as the fire was well into its advanced stages.”
Evans says that one person was transported to a hospital for an existing medical issue that was “exacerbated by the situation.” Nothing directly associated with exposure to the fire and/or conditions.
