Tornado Watch Issued for Parts of North Texas

(WBAP/KLIF) – A Tornado Watch is in effect until 10 p.m. for Ellis, Hood, and Johnson Counties until 10 p.m. Wednesday.

According to the National Weather Service, the Enhanced Risk of Severe Weather has been moved southward to include Hill & Navarro Counties, and only southern portions of Ellis and Johnson counties.

The potential for large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes will maximize south of I-20 this afternoon and evening. according to NWS. Potential for severe weather has decreased along/north of I-20, however isolated hail up to the size of quarters will still be possible.
