Bridgeport, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – In the Wise County town of Bridgeport about 46 miles miles northwest of Fort Worth, six Bridgeport High School student have been arrested in connection with a hazing investigation involving the school’s soccer team.

The investigation began after police were notified by the Bridgeport Independent School District staff of a school bus incident on March 6th.

Police say that based on various forms of evidence undercovered during their investigation, they believe that several incidents of hazing occurred, in addition to the bus incident.

Their investigation found that a number of upperclassmen allegedly hazed underclassmen as young as 14. The hazing involved removing students’ clothing, including their pants and underwear, recording them and making them say phrases like “I’m your b***h.”

Police say the hazing incidents happened not only on the school bus, but in the school locker room and in a hotel room.

According to our media partner WFAA-TV, “The incident in a hotel room occurred while attending an out-of-town tournament, police said, where an underclassman was restrained, attacked and had his clothing removed. After the student began yelling, a pillow was placed over his face, mouth and nose. Police said the student told them he almost lost consciousness.

An incident on the bus involved an upperclassman grabbing an underclassman from behind, placing his arm around his neck and covering his mouth, police said, while another student pulled down his pants and underwear. Similar behavior reportedly happened in the school locker room.”
