Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive Is Saturday

(WBAP/KLIF) — The largest one-day food drive in the country hits North Texas on Saturday. The National Association of Letter Carriers 31st Annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive will send out thousands of letter carriers to pick up donations for local food banks.

The yearly effort as food donations are picked up by the postal service to provide meals for over 34-million Americans suffering from food insecurity. NALC President Brian Renfroe says tens of millions of pounds of food will be collected and distributed to local food banks and pantries.

On Saturday, residents can donate by simply leaving a bag of non-perishable foods next to their mailbox prior to their normal mail delivery time.
