Mansfield ISD Teacher Accused of Shooting His Son and Stepdaughter, Assaulting His Wife

MANSFIELD (WBAP/KLIF News ) – Mansfield Police arrested a man accused of shooting his son and stepdaughter after an argument with his wife Tuesday night.

Officers responded to a home on Arabian Court just northeast of Elmer W Oliver Nature Park at 10:40 p.m.

Investigators said 52-year-old Thomas Boykin had an argument with his wife and assaulted her. He then reportedly grabbed a gun, went into his son’s bedroom and shot his 13-year-old son while he was sleeping.

After that, Boykin allegedly went into his 21-year-old stepdaughter’s bedroom and shot her.

Police said both victims underwent surgery and are in serious but stable condition.

Boykin was booked into the Everman jail and charged with 3 counts of Aggravated Assault Family Violence Serious Bodily Injury.
