FOX NEWS – (WBAP/KLIF) Officials with Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosive Devices are working with Washington D.C. police to find the suspect responsible for the bomb type type attacks early Sunday morning on an ATM outside a bank, at a grocery store, and a retail shoe store.

Officials say the blasts began about 4:30 Sunday morning and all happened within 15 minutes of each other, presumably they believe at this point, by a driver who was caught on surveillance camera speeding away after the explosion. No people are reported injured, so police believe the businesses were targeted.

Fox Business News reports the attack targets were an automatic teller machine outside a Truist Bank; the second explosion six minutes later outside a Nike store north of Capitol Hill, and then a Safeway store on 40th street.

Police believe the businesses and not people were targeted, because the attacks happened in “off” hours and no injuries thus far have been reported. Violent crime in the nation’s capital is up 10% from the same time last year, includin ga 15% rise in murders, according to data for the month of May.
