An Ozone Action Day is also in effect for DFW and surrounding areas due to poor air quality resulting from elevated levels of ozone. DTake extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing when possible. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location.
Monday - Sunny and hot, with a high near 104. Heat index values as high as 108. South southeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west in the afternoon.
Monday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 82. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Tuesday - Sunny and hot, with a high near 106. South wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Tuesday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 80. South wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
Wednesday- Sunny and hot, with a high near 104. South southwest wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Take precautional actions amid the dangerously hot conditions:
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out
of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Young
children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles
under any circumstances.
Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. When
possible reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or
evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat
stroke. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing when
possible. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational
Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent
rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone
overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location.
