
Grand Prairie (WBAP/KLIF) – The Grand Prairie man who was keeping a six foot long cobra in his house as a pet until it escaped two years ago, was sentenced Monday to 180 days in jail on negligence charges. Lawrence Mattle admitted he was keeping the highly venomous West African Banded Cobra in an unsecured enclosure when it got out, and disappeared a little more than two years ago. Mattle was tried and convicted in late July. He has now been sentenced to 180 days in jail. The mising oobra has not been found.
