Lt. Governor Chooses Judge to Assist in Paxton Impeachment

(WBAP/KLIF) — Lt. Governor Dan Patrick announced, Friday, that he has appointed justice Marc Brown to assist during the impeachment trial of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton.

Patrick issued a statement saying his search took a couple of months because he was seeking a candidate with real-life courtroom experience as a lawyer and a judge. Brown has previously served as a justice on the 14th Court of Appeals and a Harris County District Court Judge.

Paxton’s impeachment trial begins on September 5th.
