Austin (WBAP/KLIF) – The Texas Department of Public Safety will be updating its driver license system over the Labor Day weekend. All driver license offices in the state of Texas will be closed from Friday until the day after Labor Day (Monday). The DPS customer call center will not be working. All the online license related services will be down. Texans will not be able to renew or replace driver licenses or identification cards until the system is back on line. That is scheduled for Tuesday, September 5.
