(WBAP/KLIF) — For the fifth year in a row, the Grapevine-Colleyville ISD Board of Trustees voted to reduce the tax rate. The 2023 total tax rate will be $0.9247 per $100 valuation, a drop of nearly $0.21.
Chief Financial Officer Derick Sibley says the average homeowner in Grapevine-Colleyville ISD will be paying $917 less on their tax bill this year. Sibley says the bulk of the reduction came out of state-wide tax rate compression and the Interest and Sinking fund, which he credits the district for strong financial management.
It’s the fifth consecutive year that GCISD has lowered the district’s tax rate.
