FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF News ) – Forest Hill police are investigating a death at a Fort Worth ISD school Wednesday morning.
The district a lunch lady’s body was found in the back parking lot of David K. Sellars Elementary School.
Officials confirmed the woman was fatally shot. Her identity has not yet been revealed.
Forest Hill Police said officers responded to the scene around 6:50 a.m. and found the victim lying on the ground with several gunshot wounds.
They began life-saving measures and the victim was rushed to a local hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
Investigators said before the shooting, the victim was talking to someone in another car in the parking lot. They believe the victim knew her attacker.
Police are still searching for the suspect but did find the suspect’s vehicle, a sliver-colored Chevy Impala.

Fort Worth ISD said there is no ongoing threat or danger to our school community.

“The Fort Worth ISD’s top priority is always the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and their families. This morning, a tragic incident occurred in the back parking lot at David K. Sellars Elementary School that resulted in the passing of a beloved staff member.
Our hearts go out to their family during this incredibly difficult time. The staff member was dedicated to serving their campus and had a profound impact on students and the staff.
We want to assure the public that there is no ongoing threat or danger to our school community. Emergency personnel responded swiftly, and we have worked closely with our safety and security team in collaboration with the Forest Hill Police Department to ensure the safety of our campus.
We understand that this situation is emotionally challenging for our students, staff, and families. To provide support, additional counseling staff are available on-site to assist those in need within our school community.
We appreciate the continued support of David K. Sellars Elementary staff, families, and community during this difficult time.
This is an on-going investigation and all inquiries regarding the incident should be directed to the Forest Hill Police department. “
