1 of 3 Suspects Arrested in Kidnapping of Elderly Couple in Midlothian

UPDATE 6:40 A.M. : Midlothian police arrested 20-year-old suspect Noah Solomon Gulzar in connection to the kidnapping of an elderly couple this week.

Gulzar is facing a litany of charges including two counts of Aggravated Kidnapping with a Deadly Weapon, two counts of Aggravated Robbery, two counts of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity with a Deadly Weapon and Fraudulent Use or Possession of Identifying Information – Elderly Individual.

The search continues for the other two suspects involved in the violent attack.

MIDLOTHIAN (WBAP/KLIF News ) – Midlothian police are searching for three men accused in the violent kidnapping of an elderly couple.

The department said on the night of Monday, October 9, three armed men came to the victims’ home on Vernon Point near Skinner Road.

The victims a 72-year-old man and a 68-year-old woman, knew one of their attackers. The couple was taken by gunpoint to an Airbnb rental house in DeSoto.

While there, the suspects tied up the victims and attempted to gain access to their online bank accounts.

After being held for several hours, two of the three suspect left the location. The victims were able to loosen their restraints and subdue the remaining kidnapper after grabbing a knife from the home’s kitchen.

The couple then ran to a neighboring house to call 911.

The victim’s sustained minor injuries during their escape. Police said the suspect sustained significant injuries during the fight, including several defensive knife wounds to his hands and possible a severe knife wound to his leg.

The known suspect has been identified as 20-year-old Noah Solomon Gulzar. Midlothian police issued arrest warrants for Gulzar on two counts of Aggravated Kidnapping with a Deadly Weapon.

Gulzar’s latest known addresses are in Red Oak and Ovilla, Texas. More charges are pending on Gulzar as well as the other suspects.

Midlothian police said since Gulzar was an acquaintance of the victims, they believe the couple was specifically targeted. They do not believe this incident poses a significant danger to the community.
