North Texans Wonder When Inflation Will Come Down

(WBAP/KLIF) — As North Texans spend thousands on World Series tickets, economists project those tickets could cost more in the future.

Financial experts are predicting inflation may hang around for as long as another year or two. That’s according to a new survey of economists which Bankrate.com’s Sarah Foster says does contain a touch of optimism as the current rate of 3.7% is down from a 2022 high of 9.1%. However, she says prices at DFW grocery stores and gas stations haven’t significantly come down..

North Texans have been coping with inflation by taking on more credit card debt, saving less for retirement, or even eliminating their emergency budget. However, with the strongest job market in the nation, Texas is weathering the inflation storm better than their counterparts across the nation. Still, the survey projects inflation to last into 2025 or possibly as late as 2026.
