FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF) – A Fort Worth police officer is hospitalized after an on-duty wreck Friday morning.
The officer was driving in a marked police car on an I-35W toll road entrance ramp when he was involved in an accident. He was taken away by MedStar in serious condition but Fort Worth Police say the officer is improving.
The officer, who hasn’t been identified, has been with the department for nine years currently assigned to the crime scene unit.
No other details were released about the accident as it is still being investigated by the Fort Worth Police Traffic Unit.
