North Texas Teacher Legally Changes Name to “Literally Anybody Else” to Run for President

NORTH TEXAS (WBAP/KLIF News ) – The North Texas seventh-grade math teacher who is throwing his hat in the ring to become the next president of the United States is speaking out about why he decided to run.

Dustin Ebey legally changed his name to “Literally Anybody Else” in January to make a point about the current state of politics.

“The name my mom gave me Dustin means valiant fighter. But when you hear Dustin Ebey is running for president it’s like ‘Who is this guy? I don’t know’ but you hear Literally Anybody Else is running for president. No, I stand for anything else than the current option. I am dissatisfied with the status quo and I think a lot of people can resonate with that,” said Literally Anybody Else.

The U.S. Military veteran says he wants to give voters who feel disenfranchised an option in November other than President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump.

“You know, you can be with somebody who brings out the worst in you and I think that’s what these exactly what these two candidates are. It’s a bad relationship and I think that we just need to have a break up and go our separate ways,” he said.

Recent polls show American voters are not very enthusiastic about either candidate.

A lot of criticism is generally given to third-party and write-in candidates during presidential elections. The argument is the candidate draws votes away from the obvious front runners of the race.

“I say to that, you don’t have to choose between the lesser of two evils. I say they’re both bad options. What have you got to lose?” said Literally Anybody Else.

As an Independent candidate, Literally Anybody Else needs to turn in the signatures of 113,151 registered voters who did not vote in the presidential primary by May 13 to get his name on the ballot in Texas.
