Bedford Police Arrest Suspect in Elderly Woman’s Murder

BEDFORD (WBAP/KLIF News ) – Bedford Police have arrested a suspect in the killing of an elderly woman whose body was found inside her home earlier this month.

39-year-old Brandon Paramore of Euless is charged with murder in the death of 79-year-old Christine Barsanti.

Investigators said someone called 911 about an unconscious person at Barsanti’s home in the 2400 block of Meadow View lane last Thursday, June 6.

Officers found her body and it appeared she had been fatally hit with an object.

Police said surveillance video shows Paramore allegedly forcing his way into Barsanti’s home, after she refused his request to use her phone.

According to investigators, officers identified Paramore as a suspect based on past interactions with him. He was arrested on unrelated charges on Saturday.

Paramore will be transferred to the Tarrant County Jail, where he will be arraigned, and bond is set.

“Our thoughts are with Ms. Barsanti’s family, who have been supportive throughout our efforts to bring her justice,” said Deputy Chief Bobby LePenna.

Authorities are warning everyone to be vigilant about not opening their doors to strangers.
