(Plano ISD)

(WBAP/KLIF) – PLANO,TX – At a special meeting Monday night, the Plano ISD Board of Trustees approved a plan to shut down Davis Elementary School, Forman Elementary School, Armstrong Middle School, and Carpenter Middle School.

A committee made up of parents, teachers, school administration members, and community members presented a plan that recommended the closure of the four campuses. The committee stated that all four of those schools were built in the 1970s and have had declining enrollment for years. The district stated that the closures would save Plano ISD an estimated $5.2 million dollars a year.
