WINDER, GEORGIA – (WBAP/KLIF) At least two people are reported shot dead and one suspect in custody after police arrived in Barrow County to reports of an active shooter. A local hospital official reports receiving gunshot victims. Georgia State Patrol confirms it received reports of an active shooter at Apalachee High School in Winder, generally considered a suburb of Atlanta. At least one medical helicopter was seen airlifting at least one victim.
Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp has directed all available state resources to assist at the scene, he said in a statement on social media
