(WBAP/KLIF) – DALLAS, TX – Attorney General Ken Paxton has filed an appeal to a judge’s ruling over the gun ban at the State Fair of Texas. On Thursday, a Dallas County judge denied Paxton’s effort to block the gun ban. Last month, Paxton sued both the city and the State Fair of Texas. He argued the State Fair of Texas had violated state law that bars local governments from restricting guns on property they own or lease. The city argued in court yesterday that Fair Park is leased from the city and controlled entirely by the State Fair of Texas, which is a private nonprofit business that can make a decision about weapons.
