(WBAP/KLIF) – On Saturday, TGI Fridays announced that they are filing for bankruptcy as the company looks for ways to ensure the long-term viability of the casual dining brand. The Dallas-based restaurant chain filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in a Texas federal court. The companies executive chairman stated that the primary driver of the companies financial challenges resulted from COVID-19 and their capital structure. Many chain restaurants are struggling since diners are either visiting upscale fast food chains, or having food delivered.
