(WBAP/KLIF) — While the Trump Administration has announced a massive trade deal with the 27-member European Union (EU), many are wondering what the price impact will be on EU products.
Experts are dissecting the newly announced trade deal reached with the EU, imposing a 15% tariff on all imports into the U.S. According to Michelle Schulz with Schulz Trade Law in Dallas, the tariff is expected to affect several higher end items sold to the U.S., including pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, and medical supplies. Most of those items are sold by Germany, France, Sweden, Finland, and the Netherlands.
Schulz also says the tariff means prices are expected to go up on European goods. However, she points out that if companies eat a portion or all of the tariff, the price increase could be less.
