Texas Schoolteacher Charged With Capital Murder In Arkansas

LITTLE ROCK – (WBAP/KLIF) Arkansas State Police report a 28 year old man arrested and now charged with two counts of capital murder in the deaths of parents at Devil’s Den State Park appears to a Dallas resident, and at teacher at an elementary school in Flower Mound.

28 year old Andrew James McGann was arrested at a barbershop in Springdale about 30 miles north of the state park on Wednesday. Police alleged McGann killed parents hiking with their two young daughters on July 26th;; the dead are Clinton David Brink and Kristen Amanda Brink. Officials say the pair were hiking in Arkansas’ Devil’s Den State Park with their 7 and 9-year-old daughters, who managed to escape. Police are not yet providing further information.

McGann is being held at the Washington County jail in Arkansas.
