(WBAP/KLIF) – DALLAS, TX – Seven DART bus routes are being be discontinued, and 17 other routes will run buses less frequently, which will cut $24 million dollars from the budget. Officials with DART stated that it needs the money to pay for its new general mobility program, which is a deal that DART struck to avoid legislation that would severely de-fund the agency. The deal also sends 5% of sales tax revenue back to seven member cities for local transit projects. The changes will take effect in the early part of 2026.
