(WBAP/KLIF) – DALLAS/FORT WORTH, TX – The No King’s rallies are the latest series of mass protests attempting to push back against the Trump administration’s policies. The last round of No Kings protests took place over the summer when people from more than a thousand communities spoke out against certain aspects of the Trump administration’s agenda.
Governor Greg Abbott stated that he will deploy DPS officers and National Guard troops to scheduled rallies in Austin to deter criminal mischief, and any acts of violence. Multiple protests are scheduled to take place in major metropolitan areas like Austin, Dallas, and Fort Worth, and in smaller cities like Burleson, Stephenville, and Corsicana.
Local police departments have been in touch with organizers, and are fully aware of this weekend’s demonstrations. Most cities have a safety plan in place that still allows for residents to peacefully assemble.
