DENVER (AP) — Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys turned in another up-and-down performance in a 44-24 loss to the Denver Broncos. It’s just another installment in what’s been an inconsistent season for the Cowboys. This time, it was the league’s best offense that was stymied. Prescott was replaced by backup Joe Milton, who threw the only touchdown pass for Dallas. The defense also continues to struggle. The Cowboys have allowed 250 points through eight games, the third-most in team history, according to ESPN Research. Owner Jerry Jones says he’s open to making a trade but adds that the existing players simply must be better.
