Free Meds for Uninsured North Texans

DALLAS – (WBAP/KLIF) – As federal food assistance more widely known as “SNAP benefits” is withheld at best; frozen long term a possibility as well, North Texans are expected to place higher demand on a pharmacy that offers free medication, to those who have no insurance.

The St. Vincent de Paul Pharmacy opened in 2018 to help North Texans pay those at times sky high medication costs. Since then, it’s doled out more than $130 million dollars worth of free medications, even higher priced ones many people try to avoid filling because of the price tag.

We’ve all heard the stories or known someone in the position of having to choose between medications and paying rent or other expenses. The St. Vincent de Paul pharmacy helps those in a way that could help them avoid homelessness as they try to pay all bills.

Donations are always accepted; whether you or someone you know needs a helping hand with medication costs, your best bet is to visit the st. vincet de Paul website to get started.
