GOP Loses Texas Bid For Congresional Redistricting Maps in 2026 Mid-term Elections

A three judge federal court blocks Texas from using the newly redrawn congressional maps in the upcoming mid-term elections. It’s a major blow to the Republican party, which sought to redraw congressional lines in a bid to hang onto a narrow majority in the U.S. House.
The opinion can only be appealed directly to the U.S. Supreme Court.
