The Dallas Police Department is reporting that violent crime was down in the city in 2025… With some numbers lower than they’ve been in more than a decade.
141 homicides were reported in Dallas last year – down 43 from the previous year… a 23% dip. Robberies dropped 10% while aggravated assaults were down 12%. Dallas Police Chief Daniel Comeaux credits a more proactive stance within his department for the decline. The chief saying “It’s clear the data shows that Dallas is safer today than it was yesterday.”
