(WBAP/KLIF) — Winter storm Fern contributes to a drop in gasoline demand with fewer Texans on the road.
The AAA Texas Weekend Gas Watch Survey lists the average statewide gas price AS $2.45 per gallon for regular unleaded fuel. That’s five cents less when compared to last week and 29-cents less than last year.
Of the major metropolitan areas surveyed, drivers in San Angelo are paying the most on average at $2.64 per gallon, while those in the Lubbock area are paying the least at $2.27. North Texans are paying around $2.47, as the national average sits at $2.89.
