The Fort Worth Parks and Recreation Department has purchased a 16-acre parcel of land to expand the Tandy Hills Natural Area Park. The lot is located along Interstate 30 east of Beach Street near downtown.
About 11 acres of the purchase will be incorporated into the park, according to city officials. The remainder of land will be part of the “Open Spaces” program. Tandy Hills encompasses around 160 acres of parkland, with amenities like benches, a playground, drinking fountains, and trails.
