(WBAP/KLIF) — American Airlines will introduce electronic boarding gates at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport this summer, following a successful pilot program in November 2025.
The new boarding process will be deployed at American’s largest hub, providing a more seamless and user-friendly experience for customers.
Twenty gates will be installed at Terminal A and Terminal C pier expansion, featuring touchscreen instructions and automated validation of boarding passes. This initiative aims to reduce congestion and improve traffic flow on the jet bridge, making American Airlines the first major carrier to implement electronic boarding gates at a major airport hub.
