(WBAP/KLIF) – DALLAS, TX – The Dallas Mavericks and head coach Jason Kidd have mutually agreed to part ways, with the team beginning a search for a new head coach. The decision comes after the Mavericks finished with a 26-56 record this season, prompting a reevaluation of the team’s direction. Officials with the Dallas Mavericks stated that the organization is committed to finding a new head coach, and is evaluating its basketball operations staff to ensure competitiveness and to meet fan expectations.
