Dig World opened its second Texas park in Grapevine on July 11, giving children and families the chance to operate modified excavators, skid steers and other construction equipment through supervised games and challenges.
The construction-themed attraction at 2200 W. Grapevine Mills Circle is open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Its official grand opening followed preview access from July 3-10.
“We are beyond excited to have our second-ever Dig World location in Grapevine. We know this partnership will be great for many years to come,” Dig World founder Jacob Robinson told The Dallas Express.
As previously reported by The Dallas Express, Robinson and his wife developed Dig World after their son Pierce’s enthusiasm for construction equipment inspired the concept. The company opened its first park in Katy before expanding to North Texas.
Construction games meet Dude Perfect trick shots
Visitors can use excavators to move sand, repair a mock pipeline and connect railroad sections. Other attractions include Highway Haulers, which puts guests behind the controls of a skid steer on a driving course, and The Crusher, which uses a 20,000-pound asphalt roller to flatten a construction toy into a take-home keepsake.
The Grapevine park also includes an exclusive Dude Perfect Zone, which Dig World developed with the sports entertainment group. Barrel Ball lifts guests in a boom lift for a basketball challenge, Putts & Bolts replaces an excavator bucket with an oversized putter, and Truck Chuck uses a scissor lift for a football target throw.
Guests can also pan for gemstones at Mystery Mines and buy food and drinks at Pierce’s Post.
Passes and safety rules
Starter passes cost $30 Monday through Friday and $35 on weekends. A $50 premium pass includes flexible entry, The Crusher experience and a bottled beverage. Three-month and annual passes cost $75 and $150, respectively.
Under the park’s safety rules, all visitors age 2 and older need a pass. Guests between 30 and 48 inches tall may operate equipment with an adult, while those at least 48 inches tall may operate eligible machinery independently. Visitors younger than 16 must remain with an accompanying adult.
