Drivers traveling through the US 75 and Renner Road area next week should prepare for overnight lane and ramp closures as crews continue construction on the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) Silver Line bridge.
The closures are scheduled for July 23-26 near US 75 and Renner Road, just south of the President George Bush Turnpike, as workers install additional bridge arch segments for the commuter rail project.
This phase of construction follows the successful installation of the bridge’s south arch in June. Crews will preposition and lift the remaining center, east, and west arch segments into place over four nights.
Closures will affect portions of US 75 main lanes, frontage roads, ramps, Renner Road, and President George Bush Turnpike direct-connect ramps at various times. Officials urge motorists to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, follow posted detours, and use alternate routes when possible.
