Video provided to The Dallas Express shows the moment a protester allegedly shoved a Christian street preacher to the ground during an anti-Trump march near the Republican midterm convention in Dallas.
As previously reported by The Dallas Express, Dallas police arrested two people, Hunter Holmes, 23, and Adrian Garcia, 19, on September 10 during an anti-Trump march near American Airlines Center after officers said protesters assaulted a counterprotester and blocked a road.
Christian street preacher Chris Svochak, who was assaulted during the September 10 demonstration, told The Dallas Express that the confrontation began at Pike Park and escalated as demonstrators marched toward American Airlines Center.

“From near the beginning of the counterprotest, the pink-shirted Antifa leader known as ‘Doberman’ stated that he intended to block my path and prevent me from entering certain areas,” Svochak said. “He also directed multiple individuals dressed in black to obstruct us.”
Svochak said the group initially pushed the preachers away from areas of Pike Park before surrounding them again as the march approached the convention.
“As I passed between several of them and was almost clear, they shoved me and forced me to the ground,” Svochak said.
Dallas police said no medical treatment was required.
Video reviewed by The Dallas Express shows Svochak moving through a group of protesters before a confrontation in which he is pushed toward the ground.
Svochak said he later pulled out pepper spray as protesters continued behaving aggressively but did not deploy it after they backed away.
“Dallas Police Department officers then rushed in and took Doberman and another member of the group into custody,” according to Svochak.
Antifa Imagery And Violent Rhetoric
The Dallas Express identified the person operating the X account Doberman_DFW as Holmes. Posts from the account reviewed by The Dallas Express provide additional evidence connecting Holmes to antifascist activism.
In a September 9 post, Doberman stated “We defend. By ANY means necessary.”
A July 31 post included a photograph of three people displaying a black flag emblazoned with the words “ANTIFASCIST ACTION.” Text superimposed on the photograph stated, “BURY A PROUD BOY,” “FUCK TRUMP,” “FUCK ICE,” and “STOMP A 🐷’s BRAINS OUT.”

Another post from May 11 showed a masked individual wearing body armor and raising a fist. “We’ve been preparing and organizing,” the account stated.

A May 3 post showed a box containing several unidentified bubble-wrapped objects. “An amazing comrade made us some cool shit,” Holmes’ account wrote. The photograph does not establish what the wrapped objects contained.
The posts document violent rhetoric and Antifascist Action imagery but, standing alone, do not establish that Holmes was preparing to carry out an act of terrorism.
Dallas County jail records reviewed by The Dallas Express indicate that Holmes has been charged with two counts of assault causing bodily injury and one count of obstruction of a highway or passageway. Police reported that Holmes was carrying a handgun that had been stolen from Harris County; however, The Dallas Express did not find any gun-related charges listed in his record.
Meanwhile, Garcia faces one count of assault causing bodily injury, one count of interference with public duties, and one count of obstructing a highway or passageway.
Each charge has a $5,000 bond, resulting in a total bond of $15,000 for both individuals.
The Dallas Express contacted the FBI and Dallas Police Department regarding Holmes, his social media activity, and whether authorities are investigating any potential threats. Neither agency responded before publication.
Holmes and Garcia are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
