SOUTHLAKE (WBAP/KLIF News) – The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that the bones found in Southlake Monday afternoon are human.

Southlake Police said the bones were scattered in a wooded area off North White Chapel Boulevard near State Highway 114 and had likely been there for a while.

A utility worker found them around 3:15 p.m. and called the police.

The ME’s office said it could take quite awhile to figure out who the bones belong to.

Southlake Police are investigating the scene to try and find any leads in the case.
