Dallas police are searching for a man accused of robbing two delivery drivers at knifepoint within minutes of each other early Wednesday in Oak Cliff, FOX 4 KDFW reported.
First robbery reported on Fort Worth Avenue
The first robbery happened around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 1600 block of Fort Worth Avenue near a White Rhino Coffee shop.
Police said the suspect brandished a butcher knife at a pastry delivery driver and demanded his vehicle. The driver handed over the car because he feared for his life.
About 10 minutes later, the suspect drove the stolen car to a 7-Eleven at Hampton Road and Illinois Avenue, police said.
Frito-Lay driver threatened at 7-Eleven
The suspect abandoned the stolen car and approached a Frito-Lay delivery driver while still armed with the butcher knife.
Surveillance video captured the second robbery. The footage shows the suspect threatening the driver, who escaped through the rear of the Frito-Lay truck.
The suspect allegedly stole the truck and drove south on Hampton Road. Police have recovered both vehicles.
Police ask public for help
Investigators have not identified the suspect or announced an arrest.
Dallas Police Detective Andres Sanchez said the 7-Eleven surveillance video should help investigators identify the man. “It’s good enough,” Sanchez told FOX 4. “You’re going to know who he is.”
