Texas Gasoline Supplies Improving

Austin (WBAP/KLIF) – Texas Railroad Commissioner Ryan Sitton says supplies of gasoline are improving throughout the state, and any lingering shortages should be resolved within the next day or two. Hurricane Harvey affected about 20% of the country’s gasoline refining capacity, and a few of the Gulf coast refineries are still closed. Sitton says several of them are in the process of re-starting. He also says all the pipelines are operational again, and Texas’ fuel delivery companies are working around the clock to transport gasoline from the pipeline terminals to local service stations.
