PLANO (WBAP/KLIF News) – FedEx partnered with Heart to Heart International and Pat and Emmitt Smith Charities Monday to put together hygiene kits for families impacted by Hurricane Harvey. Brian Philips, President and CEO of FedEx Office, said there were 3,200 kits assembled, but not all would be delivered to South Texas.
“500 of those kits will be held back,” Philips said, “Those will be distributed within the Dallas Independent School District for the hundreds of families or students that have now temporarily relocated into the DFW area.”
FedEx recently donated $1 million in cash and transportation support to Harvey recovery efforts, including meals for 20,000 people.
