DALLAS(WBAP/KLIF News)- The Texas State Fair is taking extra precautions to ensure safety and prevent tragic events like the mass shooting that took place in Las Vegas Sunday.
Karissa Condoianis said they have added new metal detectors and have budgeted overtime for Dallas Police officers to ensure a safe environment.
“While we hope to never have to execute our plan, working with the Dallas Police Department, we are prepared for incidents like this.”
Condoianas added there are both plain clothes and uniformed police officers patrolling the 270 acre fair campus.
