DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News)- Hurricane Harvey was a blessing in disguise for car manufacturers.
September sales rose over six percent as victims of Hurricane Harvey sought to replace damaged vehicles from the storm. Lee Chapman of the Dallas New Car Dealers Association says auto companies were quick to fill empty car lots.
“They have lots of cars that they keep aside just for any type of deviation in the distribution system, where they can quickly outsource these cars.”
Chapman believes that the the last quarter of 2017 expects to be the best for auto dealers in Dallas.
