A Dallas businessman will serve time in prison for defrauding a local bank.

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – Dallas businessman James McIntire pleaded guilty to bank fraud charges in March, 2016. He admitted he vastly inflated the value of the assets he used as collateral for a line of credit at Opportunity Bank of Richardson. He used the money to keep his business, McIntire and Associates, from going under. When he couldn’t repay the loans, Opportunity Bank lost almost two million dollars. McIntire has now been sentenced to two years in prison, and ordered to repay the two million dollars. He is to report to federal prison January 2.
