Galveston Police Still Trying to ID ‘Little Jacob’

GALVESTON (WBAP/KLIF) – The Galveston Police Deparment and FBI have offered up a 10-thousand dollar reward for information leading to the family of a young male child found dead on Galveston beach last month. During a Monday press conference, Galveston Police Captian Joshua Schirard said that after over two weeks, hundreds of tips have turned up nothing.

The boy, who police are now calling “Little Jacob” is believed to be between 3-and-5 years old.

Schirard is urging the public to be award of several key indicators which could link someone to the boy.

“On or about October 18th, family caring for the boy could have provided a plausible explanation as to the boy’s whereabouts.”

Schirard also urged people to look for odd changes in behavior, such as constantly asking about chase and/or media reports, or signs of anxiety, nervousness or irritabilty.

Anyone with information should call Galveston Police at 409-765-3702 or Galveston County Crime Stoppers at 409-763-8477.
