A driver crashed through the front window of a Carrollton smoke shop on Sunday morning and was temporarily trapped inside the vehicle, authorities said.
The crash at Hemptations Smoke Shop, located at 2300 Keller Springs Road, was reported at 9:12 a.m., according to Fox 4 KDFW.
Responders arriving at the scene found the driver unable to get out of the vehicle after it struck the storefront.
An employee said the driver had been dropping off her dogs at a neighboring business and parked in front of the smoke shop when she accidentally hit the gas pedal.
The employee said no workers or bystanders were injured, though the store and a significant amount of merchandise were damaged. He said the business planned to clean up and reopen as soon as possible.
Additional information about the driver’s condition and the cause of the crash was not immediately available from police.
