UPS Store Thefts Under Investigation in Garland

(WFAA)

Garland, TX – (WBAP/KLIF) – Garland police are looking into a series of thefts at the UPS Store located at Garland Avenue and Bush Turnpike.

According to police, a woman mailed her cell phone from the location in late September, in order to get an upgrade. Cynthia Johnson said she was instructed by a man behind the counter to take a picture of the label and that he’d get it sent off.  The problem is, two weeks later the phone never reached its destination, and the tracking label didn’t work.

AT&T tracked the phone as having been sold on Craigslist. Apparently there have been at least 7 other such incidents from that store. The employee in question was fired after about two months on the job.
