DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) -After six winning seasons, Texas A&M fires Coach Kevin Sumlin. The first black head coach in program history was 51-26. But his first year at A&M was his best.
In 2012, Sumlin coached a Heisman trophy-winning quarter-back (Johnny Manziel) and helped the program’s by going 11 and 2. That earned him a new contract and a salary of $5 million dollars a year.
But the Aggies have not won many games since. 53-year-old Sumlin had two years left on his contract.
